Sodimate

The first sludge stabilization unit in a treatment plant in Georgia to implement this process

Complet sludge stabilisation system
The first sludge stabilization unit in a treatment plant in Georgia to implement this process

Global treatment capacity: 1,000,000 m³/day

We are proud to have contributed to the modernization of Georgia’s largest wastewater treatment plant by supplying a complete sludge stabilization unit. This project marks the first step in a broader initiative to optimize sludge management, aligning gradually with European standards, and aiming for a sustainable and biologically based effluent treatment process.

Project objectives and challenges:

 • Full modernization: construction, automation, and process rehabilitation
 • Compliance with EU wastewater directives
 • Long-term performance and reliability: improved effluent quality, cost control

Sodimate equipment supplied:
🔸 A quicklime storage silo equipped with a ZDM 400 mechanical arch breaker, ensuring consistent material discharge and preventing arching or clogging in the silo
🔸 A lime feeder to deliver a precise and constant dosing rate
🔸 A lime injector designed to prevent moisture backflow into the system
🔸 An MBV 350 mixer, ensuring optimal lime-sludge mixing
🔸 Three sludge screw conveyors, handling the transport of stabilized sludge to the discharge point

Our scope went well beyond equipment supply. It also included:
 ✔️ Installation support
 ✔️ On-site supervision
✔️ Commissioning and operational handover with local teams

This project reflects our ability to support large-scale infrastructure developments in demanding technical environments — delivering not only equipment, but expertise, reliability, and long-term commitment.
