Among the various applications that Lime can be used, it is usually found in the sugar industry. During the extraction of the juice from the cane, lime is used in the process.

Indeed, a milk of lime preparation is needed to purify the sugar. The role of the preparation is to get rid of the impurities from the juice.

SODIMATE’s equipment are suitable for the preparation of milk of lime and can be adjusted and tailored following the specifications and needs of the customer.

Usually the scope of work is consisting in:

• One silo: storage capacity from 5m3 up to 150m3;
• One Mechanical Arch breaker/ Bin activator to avoid the clogging of the lime inside the cone of the silo;
• One screw feeder
• One injector
• One preparation tank from 500 Liters up to 10m3;
• Skid of Pumps

The equipment above are the most common and standard ones that can be used for the process of lime milk preparation.
